Basketball Game Preview: Chisholm Longhorns vs. Woodward Boomers

The Chisholm Longhorns will challenge the Woodward Boomers at 12:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Chisholm turned things around against Pond Creek-Hunter on Saturday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 50-38.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodward). They blew past Cushing 72-31 on Saturday. Given the Boomers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Tigers are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodward is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Chisholm, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
