Basketball Recap: Brownfield Takes a Loss

Brownfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Canadian Wildcats, falling 102-39. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1069th, while the Wildcats are ranked 50th).

Brownfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Canadian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Brownfield will take on Denver City in a holiday battle at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Canadian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Poetry Community Christian at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. Canadian's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Poetry Community Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
