Softball Recap: Capital Bruins vs. Big Sky Eagles

Capital lost against Big Sky back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bruins came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-4. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madi Emmert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Ella Krepps, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Big Sky, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Capital is set to challenge their familiar foe Butte at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Big Sky will face off against rival Helena at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
