Softball Recap: Bridge City Comes Up Short

Bridge City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Silsbee Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 1-0 loss two weeks ago.

Bridge City's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13-1. As for Silsbee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

Bridge City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Silsbee, they will challenge Deweyville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
