Soccer Recap: Meadowcreek Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Meadowcreek Mustangs came up short against the Woodstock Wolverines and fell 3-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Wolverines are ranked 302nd).

Meadowcreek has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. The victory snapped Woodstock's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek will welcome North Gwinnett at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodstock, they will challenge Pope at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pope will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Woodstock surely won't give up without a fight.
