Baseball Recap: Terre Haute North Vigo Has No Trouble Against Lawrence County

Terre Haute North Vigo's hitters rose to the challenge against a Wildcats pitching crew that boasted an average of only four runs allowed on Friday. The Patriots blew past the Lawrence County Wildcats 12-4. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly eight runs.

Kendall Gregg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Gregg was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Tyler Lawson was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Colten Moore was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.

Terre Haute North Vigo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence County only managed eight hits.

Terre Haute North Vigo has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs this season. As for Lawrence County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
