Basketball Recap: Stevenson Beats Seaside for Their Second Straight Victory

If Seaside wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Stevenson, they should've done a better job of containing Cooper Olin. The Stevenson Pirates claimed a resounding 68-32 victory over the Seaside Spartans thanks in part to Olin, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points and five boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least 18 points.

Kekoa Williams was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last eight games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Stevenson and bumps their season record up to 10-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Seaside, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Stevenson has already played their next matchup, a 64-57 loss against Rancho San Juan on the 6th. As for Seaside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 81-48 defeat against Watsonville on the 6th.
