Basketball Recap: Cardozo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Cardozo and Sidwell Friends squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Cardozo had to settle for second. They lost 58-32 to the Sidwell Friends Quakers. The game marked the Clerks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sidwell Friends' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ian Condon, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalyn Collingwood, who posted 16 points and six boards.

Cardozo moved to 25-5 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak. As for Sidwell Friends, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Cardozo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sidwell Friends, they will square off against St. John's at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Sidwell Friends knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully St. John's likes a good challenge.
