Basketball Recap: Olympia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rantoul last Saturday, Olympia came back down to earth. The Olympia Spartans fell 36-24 to the El Paso-Gridley Titans on Monday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-34 back in December of 2024.

Olympia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for El Paso-Gridley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Olympia will head out to square off against Williamsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Paso-Gridley has already played their next game (against Eureka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
