Softball Recap: Newman Fighting Cardinals vs. Tomahawk Hatchets
Newman entered their tilt with Tomahawk with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Tomahawk Hatchets on Thursday.
Madison Keene was incredible, going 3-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Shields, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Newman's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Tomahawk, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
As of now, neither Newman nor Tomahawk have any future games scheduled.
