Baseball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Canyon Crest Academy's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday.

Canyon Crest Academy got a good showing from Jinho Bae, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The Ravens are 3-1 when Bae allows one or fewer hits, but 7-15-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Canyon Crest Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Harkin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Canyon Crest Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16-1 record this season. As for Mission Bay, their record is now 19-6.

Looking ahead, Canyon Crest Academy will face off against Escondido at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ravens' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Mission Bay, they will take on Morse at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
