Everything went their way against Barnum on Monday as Cloquet made off with a 7-1 victory. Considering Cloquet has won four games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Esko's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Cloquet, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.
Everything went Esko's way against Cloquet in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as Esko made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Esko since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
