Baseball Game Preview: Marion Scarlet Hurricanes vs. Patrick Henry Rebels

The Marion Scarlet Hurricanes will head out to square off against the Patrick Henry Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Patrick Henry took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Marion, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Marion was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwood, taking the game 7-2. The win continues a trend for the Scarlet Hurricanes in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Marion got a massive performance out of Mason Pugh, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI were Pugh's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Stuart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry came up short against Auburn last Wednesday and fell 6-1.

Marion's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Patrick Henry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Marion couldn't quite get it done against Patrick Henry in their previous meeting last Tuesday as they fell 4-1. Can Marion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
