Basketball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Axtell Eagles.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Axtell, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Southern will host Weeping Water at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Axtell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Washington County.
