Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles

The Beaver Beavers will take on the American Leadership Academy Eagles in a tournament on Saturday. Beaver is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Beaver saw some tournament action on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Emery. That's two games straight that the Beavers have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on David Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Davis Carter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, American Leadership Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 7-1 to Emery. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

American Leadership Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Heaps, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Justus Brost also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Beaver's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for American Leadership Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
