Baseball Recap: Har-Ber Victorious

Har-Ber's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Joplin Eagles by a score of 8-3. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

CY SPENCER made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, MAX STEWART was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was BROOKS BAXENDALE, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Har-Ber's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Joplin, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Har-Ber will face off against Southside at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Joplin, they will be playing at home against Nixa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Joplin will need to watch out since Nixa has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
