Baseball Recap: Pottsgrove Triumphs

Pottsgrove won the last time they faced Upper Perkiomen and things went their way on Friday too. Pottsgrove walked away with a 6-2 victory over Upper Perkiomen. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Brandon McGinley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

In other batting news, Luke Tyson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season.

The win got Pottsgrove back to even at 2-2. As for Upper Perkiomen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pottsgrove will take on rival Pope John Paul II at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Upper Perkiomen is set to challenge their familiar foe Upper Merion Area at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
