Basketball Recap: Airline Comes Up Short

Airline was the 72-54 winner over Captain Shreve when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Airline Vikings took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Captain Shreve Gators on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Gators are ranked 256th).

This is the second loss in a row for Airline and nudges their season record down to 17-13. As for Captain Shreve, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 30-9.

Airline has already played their next match (against Haughton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Captain Shreve has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Huntington.
