Lipscomb Academy barely beat Pope John Paul II the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Knights on Saturday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for Lipscomb Academy, bringing their record up to 15-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pope John Paul II, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13-1.

Lipscomb Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
