Basketball Recap: Johnsburg Central Takes a Loss

Johnsburg Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 78-13 loss at the hands of the Bolton Central Eagles. The Jaguars were probably out for revenge after losing 72-17 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jadynn Egloff had a dynamite game for Bolton Central, putting up 30 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Egloff has scored at least a third of Bolton Central's points. Maille Kelley was another key player, posting ten points.

Bolton Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Johnsburg Central and Lake Placid will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bolton Central will take on Newcomb Central in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bolton Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season.
