Basketball Recap: Arlington's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Arlington was feeling good fresh off their 51-19 takedown of Madison last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Arlington Cardinals and the DeSmet Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Arlington Cardinals falling 66-47. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Arlington's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for DeSmet, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Arlington will be playing in front of their home fans against Deuel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeSmet, they will venture away from home to challenge Iroquois/Lake Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. DeSmet is facing Iroquois/Lake Preston at the right time seeing as Iroquois/Lake Preston is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
