Baseball Game Preview: Aucilla Christian Warriors vs. Brookwood Warriors

Aucilla Christian are taking a road trip to challenge Brookwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aucilla Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Aucilla Christian got the win against Port St. Joe by a conclusive 12-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Collin Campbell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other pitching news, Caleb Walker looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, Cooper Wiles was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he's hit this season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Walsh, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

Aucilla Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Brookwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to Leon.

Brookwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Aucilla Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Aucilla Christian took their win against Brookwood in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 13-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aucilla Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
