Recap: Stockdale Brahmas vs. Sabinal Yellowjackets
The Stockdale Brahmas pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sabinal. Stockdale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sabinal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Sabinal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Contreras, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Contreras is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Tre Morgan was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Stockdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Sabinal, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
Stockdale will head out on the road to take on Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sabinal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Pryor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Pryor comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
