Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was the 3-0 winner over Ethan when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blackhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rustlers on Thursday. The Blackhawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-13, 25-16, 26-24.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ethan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket and Parkston will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ethan, they will take on Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
