Recap: Caro Tigers vs. Reese Rockets
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Caro Tigers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past Reese 42-40. Given Caro's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Reese is ranked 435th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Caro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Osborn, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Gwen Geiger, who scored five points along with ten rebounds.
The victory (which was Caro's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. As for Reese, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Caro won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Almont at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Reese will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bad Axe at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
