Pelican Rapids put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the West Central Area Knights by a score of 69-60. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Knights are ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pelican Rapids' victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for West Central Area, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pelican Rapids will head out to square off against East Grand Forks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Central Area, they will challenge Benson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. West Central Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Benson likes a good challenge.
