In what's become a running theme this season, Italy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Coolidge Yellowjackets with a sharp 16-1 win. The victory was nothing new for Italy as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Ella Hudson made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Hudson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Hudson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double.
In other batting news, Olivia Ramirez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played. Ireland Sutton was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
