It was a good run, but Mission Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wabaunsee Chargers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 50-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mission Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Wabaunsee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season.

Mission Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santa Fe Trail at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. After both having extra time off, Wabaunsee and Onaga will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 4:45 p.m. on January 28th. Wabaunsee is facing Onaga at the right time seeing as Onaga is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
