It was a good run, but Des Moines North unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to the Pella Dutch 61-57. The Polar Bears were probably out for revenge after losing 70-50 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Des Moines North's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pella, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Des Moines North has already played their next match (against Hoover), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pella will welcome Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pella knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Newton likes a good challenge.
