Softball Recap: Central Montcalm Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Central Montcalm came out on top against Lakeview on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Hornets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 14-0 shutout. The Hornets have beaten the Wildcats the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Central Montcalm's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-24.
