Softball Preview: Marion County Warriors vs. Bledsoe County Warriors

Marion County hasn't had much luck against Bledsoe County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Marion County is taking a road trip to face off against Bledsoe County at 5:30 p.m. Marion County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Marion County barely beat Chattanooga Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors never let the Pounders get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Pounders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Reese Saylors was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kylee McGowan, who earned three runs and one stolen base.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Bledsoe County nor Rhea County made it on the board until the tenth inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Marion County's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Bledsoe County, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
