Softball Recap: Portsmouth Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Portsmouth Christian Academy lost against Newmarket back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell 5-2 to the Mules. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Portsmouth Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Newmarket, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Portsmouth Christian Academy will challenge rival Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Newmarket is set to face off against their familiar foe Epping at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mules 3.6, the Blue Devils 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
