Recap: Freer Buckaroos vs. Agua Dulce Longhorns
The Freer Buckaroos entered their tilt with the Agua Dulce Longhorns with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Freer took down Agua Dulce 41-26 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Freer, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Freer found their leader in underclassman Ashlyn Butler, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Butler's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for four games straight. Samantha Barker was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Freer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Agua Dulce, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing La Villa the next time they take the court. Freer will host La Villa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Agua Dulce will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
