After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Grove, Asheboro was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Montgomery Central Timberwolves 1-0. Asheboro haven't had any issues with Montgomery Central recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Asheboro's one-goal win came courtesy of Jaira Arellano, who's now up to 16 this season.

Asheboro's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Montgomery Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-1 record this season.

Asheboro will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Montgomery Central, they will take on North Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
