Basketball Recap: Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Almond-Bancroft, Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over the Peshtigo Bulldogs. The Blazers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Peshtigo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

When Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran and Peshtigo next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran will try to stop Kewaunee's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on February 7th. Meanwhile, Peshtigo will square off against Oconto and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
