Softball Recap: Saratoga Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Greenwich hit Saratoga Central Catholic with a six-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints came up short against the Witches, falling 14-7. The loss continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Witches: they've now lost seven in a row.

Paige Bujno made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases. Julia Dejnozka was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Saratoga Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Greenwich, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Coincidentally, Saratoga Central Catholic and Greenwich will both be playing Stillwater the next time they take the field. The Witches will head out to face the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
