After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Shawnee finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Noble Bears. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Noble, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Shawnee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against MacArthur on the 10th. As for Noble, they are taking a road trip to challenge El Reno at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.3, the Indians 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
