Basketball Game Preview: Jesup J-Hawks vs. Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels

Jesup is 1-6 against Gladbrook-Reinbeck since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jesup J-Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels at 7:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Jesup came up short against Union and fell 55-46. While losing is never fun, the J-Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Knights are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, Gladbrook-Reinbeck also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to South Hardin by a score of 57-45. The contest marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Jesup, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
