It's early, but the stars in high school football Class of 2020 are beginning to come into focus.

247Sports released its initial Class of 2020 player rankings Thursday and tabbed defensive end Bryan Bresee of Damascus (Md.) as the top prospect.

Bresee checks in at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds and 247Sports reports 19 offers already from the likes of Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

The early No. 1 in 2020 played at Urbana as a freshman but is jumping to nearby Damascus – Maryland's defending Class 3A state champions – this fall.

Wide receiver could be a position of strength in 2020 with Julian Fleming of Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, Pa.), Leonard Manuel of Vanguard (Ocala, Fla.) and Porter Rooks of Providence Day (Charlotte, N.C.) all earning spots in the Top 10.

The No. 2 spot is occupied by 6-8, 290-pound offensive tackle Kevin Pyne of Millis (Mass.). Defensive tackle Myles Hinton of Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.) is another name that jumps out as his father, Chris, was a seven-time Pro-Bowler and is a member of the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor.
