Basketball Game Preview: St. Vincent de Paul Academy Hawks vs. Frontier School of Excellence

The St. Vincent de Paul Academy Hawks will face off against Frontier School of Excellence at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, St. Vincent de Paul Academy lost to Midland Adventist Academy on the road by a 54-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 415th in Missouri, while the Mustangs are ranked 64th in Kansas).

Meanwhile, Frontier School of Excellence came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 50-38 win over the Lions.

Frontier School of Excellence's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for St. Vincent de Paul Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
