Softball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lancaster can now relate to. They fell just short of the Richland Center Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-4 loss on May 6th.

Lancaster has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Richland Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Lancaster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Richland Center has already played their next game (against Dodgeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
