El Segundo waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the Hillcrest Trojans 6-0. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st.

Jacy Lindsay tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sullivan McLaughlin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Allie Stevenson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

El Segundo's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 6.75 strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.85 in the others. As for Hillcrest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

El Segundo will welcome West at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (El Segundo 3.2, West 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hillcrest, they will head out to square off against Heritage at 3:15 p.m. on April 3.
