Softball Recap: McKinley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Canton South on Saturday, McKinley came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Wildcats on Saturday, falling 12-2. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 12-0.

Elijahne Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

McKinley now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Canton South, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinley will challenge Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canton South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triway at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
