Given the Red Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Hornets are ranked 106th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bay Port's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Pulaski, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Bay Port against Pulaski in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 37-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
