Softball Recap: South Harrison Takes a Loss

South Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Cougars. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 18-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Emily Squires was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

South Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lincoln, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

South Harrison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-8 win against Berkeley Springs on the 5th. As for Lincoln, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-3 victory against Robert C. Byrd on the 5th.
