Volleyball Recap: Oxbridge Academy Comes Up Short

Oxbridge Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Heritage on Saturday. The ThunderWolves fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The ThunderWolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Jessica Jerabek paced Oxbridge Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Jerabek were helped by Reagan Schwaderer and Julia Fagan, who contributed eight assists each. Jerabek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Heritage was led to victory by Kyra Davis and Eva Vuichard. Davis had 13 kills, four digs, and two blocks, while Vuichard had 30 assists and three digs. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more kills the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amber Gunter, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Oxbridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Heritage, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxbridge Academy will challenge Palm Beach Gardens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Eau Gallie at 7:00 p.m.
