4-star safety Deontay Anderson picks Ole Miss on National Signing Day - while skydiving

The tall, rangy and fast safety from Manvel High makes a decision on his college future in mid-air.

Deontay Anderson, a 6-foot-1, 192-pound safety and return man for Manvel (Texas), picked Ole Miss as his college football destination. And he did it while skydiving.

The 4-star standout had been leaning toward Ole Miss throughout his recruiting process. He was uncommitted up until a short time ago. Now he's signing on the dotted line.

Other possible suitors were Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU. Anderson is ranked the second-best safety in the country, according to 247Sports, and No. 53 overall.



Anderson helped Manvel to an 11-3 record and during his four-year career and piled up 221 tackles (4.7 per game) and intercepted five passes.
