West Memphis Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past the Delta Academy Raiders 18-5. That's more bragging rights for the Black Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Cannon Morgan, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. West Memphis Christian is undefeated when Morgan posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sutton Losapio, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

West Memphis Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

West Memphis Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Coming up, West Memphis Christian will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Independence at 6:00 p.m. Delta Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Panola at 5:00 p.m. on March 31st.
