Recap: Crestline Bulldogs vs. Mansfield Christian Flames
The Crestline Bulldogs lost against the Mansfield Christian Flames back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Crestline took a serious blow against Mansfield Christian, falling 61-27. Crestline has not had much luck with Mansfield Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Crestline saw an underclassman step up: Jocelyn Noblit scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Noblit scored a full 48.1% of Crestline's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacelynn Miller, who scored three points.
Crestline's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Mansfield Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestline is on the road again on Tuesday and play against North Baltimore at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully North Baltimore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday. As for Mansfield Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while Mansfield Christian is ranked 361st).
