While Midview's victory against Berea-Midpark wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Middies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Titans on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Middies as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Midview got a great performance from Henry Calcut as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Midview's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Jockel, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Camden Scott also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Midview's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Berea-Midpark, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Midview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Titans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
